Non-Allowable Items:

For safety and regulatory reasons, the following items are prohibited from being transported by QuickSwitch Movers:

• Aerosol Cans

• Ammonia

• Ammunition

• Batteries

• Bleach

• Candles

• Cleansers

• Firearms

• Gasoline

• Jewelry

• Lighter Fluids

• Oils/Paints

• Perfumes

• Personal Documents

• Pesticides

• Propane Tanks

• Toiletries

Instructions: All Non-allowable Items must be securely packed and clearly labeled as "Do Not Move" or placed in your vehicle before our team arrives. This will prevent the accidental loading of non-allowable items by our crew.

Disconnecting and Reconnecting Appliances

As the shipper, you are responsible for disconnecting and reconnecting all appliances and electronics, including but not limited to:

• Washers and Dryers

• Computers and TVs

• VCRs and other electronics

Liability Notice: QuickSwitch Movers cannot be held liable for the mechanical condition of appliances or electronics unless damage is caused by the negligence of our employees. If you pack these items yourself, you assume full responsibility for any potential damage.

Special Instructions for Refrigerators and Freezers: These should be disconnected 24 hours prior to our arrival, including ice makers. Ensure they are completely wiped out to prevent mildew or mold, especially if the items are going into storage.

Disassembly and Reassembly

QuickSwitch Movers will handle the disassembly and reassembly of basic furniture, except for items made of:

• Particleboard

• Engineered wood

• Pressboard

Exceptions: Due to insurance and liability concerns, we cannot disassemble or reassemble outdoor play equipment or exercise equipment. We will only reassemble items that we have disassembled.

Packing Instructions

If you pack your own boxes (PBO - Packed By Owner), QuickSwitch Movers is not liable for any damages that occur during transportation. To ensure the safety and protection of your items, please follow these guidelines:

• Use new, durable cartons for packing.

• Seal all boxes with tape and label them with your last name, contents, and whether the items are fragile or require top-load handling.

Important: We cannot transport garbage bags, trash bags, totes without lids, or loose items. All non-furniture items must be securely packed by you or by our team (at an additional charge) for safe transportation.

Handling of Fragile Items

All fragile items, including but not limited to:

• Pictures and Mirrors

• Marble and Glass Table Tops

• Beveled Glass

must be packed and secured prior to the move. If you need assistance with packing these items, please inform us 1-2 days before your move date.

Liability Notice: QuickSwitch Movers and its representatives cannot remove window treatments, shelving attached to walls, or items from crawl spaces or attics without permanent stairs or flooring.

Special Handling of Electronics and Appliances

• CRT TVs (19” or smaller): Must be boxed prior to transport. Larger TVs will be pad-wrapped, except plasma TVs which require special handling.

• Front-Load Washers: Require special handling. You or a third-party service must secure the drum with shipping pins and disconnect/reconnect the washer.

Origin and Destination Walk-Through

We request that you, the shipper, perform a walk-through with our crew leader at both the origin and destination to ensure all items have been removed or delivered and placed as desired.

Reminder: Be mindful of small children and pets during the moving process to ensure safety and efficiency.

Cancellation Due to Weather or Rescheduling

QuickSwitch Movers reserves the right to reschedule any move due to:

• Inclement Weather

• Unsanitary or Unsafe Conditions

• Misrepresentation of the Move Size

• Lack of Preparedness (e.g., unpacked personal contents)

  • Excessive Non-Allowable Items

We consider many factors before rescheduling, so please cooperate with us in these situations.

Handling of Engineered Wood, Particleboard, or Pressboard Furniture

Due to the fragile nature of these materials, they are not designed to withstand the stress of a move. You have the following options:

1. Disassemble the furniture prior to the move, assuming all responsibility for any damage.

2. Hire another service to disassemble the furniture with full responsibility for any damage.

3. Move fully assembled furniture, understanding that any claims for damage may be denied due to the inherent vulnerability of these materials.

Valuation Coverage

QuickSwitch Movers offers various levels of valuation coverage for your belongings:

Released Value Coverage: Minimal coverage at no additional charge, with a liability of $0.60 per pound per article.

Full Value Protection: Additional cost coverage, which includes the replacement value of lost or damaged goods. A high-value inventory form is required for items exceeding $100 per pound.

You may also choose to purchase insurance from a third-party provider.

Payment Policies

We accept the following forms of payment:

• All major credit cards

• Cashier's check

• Certified check

• Money orders

• Cash

Note: Personal checks are not accepted.

If you have any questions or need further clarification on any of these policies, please feel free to contact us. Our goal is to ensure a smooth and successful move for you.
